growing mushrromsThe Storytellers Guild...

Winter is when we old men and women rumble words meant to shake us. Flashing light now give us words of fear and mediocrity.

Unless you watch for the escapees: a battlestar, a slayer, pan, and more

We should be bedazzled and wrenched. Our artists need to tell us stories that help us feel past the numbness our culture beats over us for. Sensory overload needs an antidote.

The storytellers guild mixes all media. Primetime adventures and beyond, walking back to the fire.

There's No Business Like Show Business: Conflict, Youtube and the most Bad Ass Ninja Cliffhangers

So, we make a story, shoot it, chop it and have a 5 minute short after 3 hours of work. Simple, no! We will bleed every minute to make 5 minutes of the most insane, I want to see more, action and pathos for a post-apocalytic soap opera. No mercy for character building, nature is a central figure and we shoot it on professional grade video and sound. Filmed in the broken edges of the greenspaces of Portland, OR, this is an experiment in collaborative filmmaking: if it looks like we are producing crap, we will walk away and never speak of it again. Our bar is high, our landscape is a Portland of something savannah waiting to exist, our characters are people in a fight for survival of the earth and the "views" counter will be our guide to see if we are worthy storytellers and of value as human beings.

How to Barter

The ancient art of bartering, is a highly sophisticated way to trade skills, services, and materials, among other things.  It is a system of trade that allows us to interact more directly with community and discover resources that we may otherwise overlook.  In this class: Learn to assess which situations are best for a barter exchange, how to get past the mentality “I don’t have anything to barter with”, how to open negotiations, bartering techniques, how to close the deal, follow up techniques, how bartering can conserve resources, and regulations regarding bartering and tax law.
