growing mushrromsreal natural building...

Cascaida is not DIY it's DIO, Do It Ourselves! It's not building green and LEED, it's shedding tears when you cut wood from trees that are friends of yours, it's feeling the scars are yours when you dig up clay and it's straw that gives you slivers. It's not carbon credits but instead it's sourcing the edge, cut from metal in dumpsters and wire scraps. It is an elegant and artful post industrial future.

We explore alternatives only where the arrow points in the direction of a slower life. One where craft does not serve a self-effacing globalized community, instead our small unique and automnomous tribes, meaning real families.

We will also convert a diesel van to run on waste veggie oil on the second day. Lots of biodiesel/ waste veggie oil conversion discussions with information on benefits and challenges of both. Learn some light car mechanic skills, light plumbing skills, and handyman diy skills in this workshop.

Then we will learn how to convert a diesel vehicle to run on biodiesel. Older diesel vehicles and a lot of newer diesel vehicles need some new parts installed in order to run on biodiesel. Learn some light car mechanic skills in this hands on workshop.
